cousor.rec

Our mission is to make the film industry more connected and accessible by helping talented people discover each other, build trusted professional networks, and find opportunities to create together.

The film and media industry relies heavily on personal networks to find people for projects. Directors, producers, and other filmmakers often discover actors and crew through friends, previous collaborations, recommendations, Instagram, or simply by asking around. This creates a major problem for talented people who don't have a strong network or industry connections. Even when someone finds a potential collaborator, it can be difficult to know whether they are the right person for the project. A portfolio can show someone's previous work, but it doesn't show important factors such as communication, reliability, punctuality, teamwork, dedication, professionalism, or how well they work under real project conditions. At the same time, talented filmmakers and crew members can miss opportunities simply because the right people don't know they exist. cousor.rec is being created to address this discovery and networking gap — making it easier for film professionals to find relevant talent, showcase their work, build professional connections, and create opportunities beyond their existing personal networks.

cousor.rec is a professional networking and talent-discovery platform built specifically for the film and media industry. Instead of relying mainly on personal connections, recommendations, or social media, professionals can create dedicated profiles that showcase their skills, experience, portfolio, previous projects, and areas of interest. Actors, directors, writers, cinematographers, editors, musicians, producers, VFX artists, sound designers, and other film professionals can discover each other based on their roles and project requirements. The platform is designed not only to help people find talent, but also to help them build professional relationships over time. As users collaborate on projects, they can develop a professional reputation based on their work and collaborations. Our goal is to create a single professional network where film talent can be discovered, connected, and given opportunities regardless of how large their existing industry network is. We are starting with a focused MVP around professional profiles, talent discovery, networking, and project-based connections, and plan to expand the platform based on feedback from filmmakers and early users.
